The Mayor of Sheffield, along with two of our volunteers
The Railway took part in the Volunteer Fair at Sheffield Town Hall on Tuesday 10th October. I was ably supported by three volunteer colleagues who gamely chatted and gave out leaflets, attracting people to our eye-catching display which was fronted by a model of our famous Mardy Monster.
We met some interesting and talented people, and I think our enthusiasm for the Railway shone through, as we managed to persuade quite a number of them to come and join us!
It doesn't stop there though - We still need extra helpers for our forthcoming Santa Specials, and a variety of roles are available. Whatever you can do, we can use your skills - and it's lots of fun too!
If you have experience and a passion for seeking out funding opportunities and obtaining grants etc, we would really love to hear from you.
Don't be shy, we are a friendly, welcoming bunch, and we may have just the role for you!!
Come and help us run a railway!
